UFCU Annual Meeting 2017

2017 Annual Member Meeting and Election of Ukrainian FCU Board of Directors Sunday April 30, 2017 at 2:30 pm Slavic Bible Baptist Church of Rochester - 3200 St Paul Blvd, Rochester, NY 14617

           The election of directors to the board will take place in compliance with NCUA bylaws Article V, Section A4. The Chairman of the Board of Directors has appointed the Nominating committee: Dr. Eugene Lylak (Chairman), Barbara Gutierrez, Rostislav Melnik. There are two (2) vacancies for the board of directors, which must be filled for 2017. The nominating committee has nominated one member for each vacancy. These nominations have been filed with the Secretary of the credit union. No nominations by petition were filed, therefore elections will not be conducted by mail ballot and there will be no nominations from the floor.

Candidates nominated by the Nominating committee:

TAMARA DENYSENKO - UFCU Board member and president of UFCU Ukrainian-American Community Foundation, Inc. Has over 30 years of financial and business experience. A retired credit union CEO, Mrs. Denysenko held various local, national and international credit union leadership positions at the NY State Credit Union League, Ukrainian National Credit Union Association, World Council of Ukrainian Cooperatives and the National Association of Federal Credit Unions, also serving as USAID consultant to help re-establish credit unions in Ukraine. A life-long community volunteer, she currently serves as president of Rochester Global Connections (RGC). Facilitated the establishment of the Ukrainian Partnership Program between Nazareth College (Rochester, NY) and NUA Ostroh Academy in Ukraine. In the past, Mrs. Denysenko was a Ukrainian schoolteacher and director, Plast youth leader, co-host/producer of Rochester Ukrainian Magazine TV program, co-founder of International Sister Cities Council of Irondequoit, NY Inc. and the first President of Irondequoit-Poltava Sister Cities Committee. She served on the Town of Irondequoit Ethics Committee, Irondequoit Rotary, Irondequoit Business Council, the US-Ukraine Foundation Board of Directors and the Ukrainian World Congress Executive Committee as Financial Director. Attended SUNY Buffalo and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics/Business Administration from SUNY Brockport. She is a member of St. Mary Protectress Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Rochester and several other local and national community and professional organizations.

BOHDAN ZAKHARCHYSHYN - Currently UFCU Board Member, co-chair of Community Relations Committee, Assistant Treasurer. Born in Ternopil region of Ukraine. Studied in Kalush Chemo-Technical College and Institute of Petroleum and Natural Gas in Ivano-Frankivsk. Worked as a supervisor and department head at Ivano-Frankivsk Fine Organic Synthetic Plant (BARVA). In 1994, immigrated to the United States with wife and three children and resides in Rochester ever since. Currently works for Wegmans Inc.

      For the past 16 years, volunteered for UFCU as an Educational Committee member, a Supervisory Committee member, and a Scholarship Committee member. Active in working with the Consulate General of Ukraine to provide consulate services to UFCU members. Member of the Ukrainian American Sports Club in Rochester, Ukrainian Cultural Center of Rochester.
