BRANCH MANAGER - Albany Branch
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Branch Manager to assist in living out our vision to be the financial provider of choice for our members by managing and developing our branch location in Albany NY.
BRANCH LOCATION: 995 New Loudon Rd, Cohoes, NY 12047
- Developing the branch in its relationships with sponsor organization(s), and members.
- Ensuring the branch meets established sales and service goals.
- Demonstrating enthusiastic support of corporate mission, core values and long term objectives.
- Supervising, training, motivating, and maintaining branch staff to ensure a consistent professional approach.
- Implementing and monitoring the budget for the branch.
- Conducting loan interviews; processing and approving/closing loans.
- Ensuring that the branch is in compliance with credit union policies and procedures, federal laws and regulations.
- Performing job duties within bylaws, regulations, policies, established service standards, and work procedures.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in English and Ukrainian. Business Development.

Branch Manager• Responsible for all functions of the credit union facility including supervising staff employees, security, operations of the facility, and member relations. Branch Manager is required to have detailed knowledge of all aspects of credit union operations
Head Teller• Organizes and directs the daily operations of tellers, processes member transactions including receiving and disbursing funds, and posting deposits, loan payments, and withdrawals. Head Teller supervises tellers in the daily balancing of cash, money orders, travelers checks, and certified drafts
Loan Officer• Reviews member applicants to ensure compliance and accuracy. Approves or denies consumer loans including unsecured loans and secured loans on property other than real estate in accordance with credit union underwriting standards. Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documents. Checks documents for proper descriptions, closing dates, signatures, and answers inquiries from members and potential borrowers.
Loan Processor• Interviews member loan applicants to develop information concerning their loan needs and financial condition. Prepares and reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy. Follows compliance procedures for efficiency of workflow from Lending Officer to credit files with a result of maintaining up-to-date collateral and lien information Member Service Representative•Assists members in opening accounts, adding services, making changes to accounts, reconciling checking accounts, and resolving problems. Promotes and sells UFCU services and products. An MSR may take loan applications, conduct cash transactions, and sell travelers checks and related cash activities.
Teller• Performs member transactions, usually receiving payments, disbursing funds, posting deposits, and providing account balances and related activities. A teller may sell travelers checks, cross sell other UFCU services and products, and on occasion open new accounts
UFCU is looking for volunteers to serve in the Supervisory committee. Under the Federal Credit Union Act, the committee's responsibilities are to make an audit at least annually and to verify members' accounts every two years. The committee is also responsible for reviewing the performance of the officials and making recommendations to the board of directors for improvement in the operations of the credit union. Candidates should have a business or financial background and make a time commitment to meet at least monthly.
